Odds & Predictions – SL i-League Finals 2017
We have really exciting match-ups ahead of us; Astralis vs CLG, Gambit Gaming vs Fnatic and FaZe vs HellRaisers are just a few examples. Our predictions for the SL i-League Finals 2017 are simply our writers’ personal opinions and are therefore no guarantee for a win. Remember to visit Bet365’s esports selection for additional SL i-League StarSeries Season 3 betting options.
Astralis vs CLG
This is one of those matches not worth putting your money on, Astralis is just too good right now, while CLG is not looking impressing at all. The Danish boys should with ease be able to run over CLG. And the odds are not in our favor either, 1.11 on Astralis to win.
But if I have to choose I’d go with Astralis, of course. Betting against the favorites to win SL i-League Finals 2017 in this match-up would be crazy.
Odds: Bet365 1.11
Virtus.pro vs MVP Project
We usually only see European or North American teams participating in international events. But this time around, we have MVP Project, representing South Korea. They have a few tournament wins on home turf, so it will be interesting to see what they can bring on European soil. Since basically, no one has seen MVP Project play they could surprise some teams from Europe and North America.
Virtus.pro are clear favorites, but if MVP Project gets a good start, the Polacks could be in trouble. They would have to be quick to adapt to a new play style since it’s a bo1.
My money is on Virtus.pro, but I do want unknown teams like MVP Project and such to rise internationally, that would be uplifting for the entire scene.
Odds: Bet365 1.11
SK Gaming vs TyLoo
Unfortunately, TyLoo is playing without their latest addition Hansel ”BnTeT” Ferdinand due to Visa issues. I don’t see how TyLoo will stand a chance taking on SK with a stand-in. It’s going to be close to impossible for TyLoo to get any points out of this game. SK is starting to get in great shape and is a real contender for the title in Kiev.
My bet’s on SK Gaming, all the way.
Odds: Bet365 1.083
Natus Vincere vs 5POWER
Na’Vi seems always to be hit or miss. One day they’ll completely wreck a tier 1 team, and lose against a lower team another day. But, Na’Vi should manage to defeat 5POWER. I haven’t seen much from 5POWER to be honest; I guess they could bring a unique style and surprise everyone. That’s what’s great about the bo1 Swiss format; anything can happen.
Still, I’d go with Na’Vi on this one.
Odds: Bet365 1.12
Ninjas in Pyjamas vs G2 Esports
Finally a more even match-up, and it seems like both teams are starting to get in shape. NiP is looking decent with the reinforcement of William ”draken” Sundin. And the stars in G2 are certainly playing better today than they did just a month ago. Bet365 have Ninjas in Pyjamas as favorites at 1.72. A win for G2 could double your money with 2.00 in odds.
G2 have the skill and experience to beat NiP; my money is on the French team this time.
Odds: Bet365 2.00
North vs Immortals
I enjoy Immortals playstyle, aggressive and fast-paced. They defeated North at IEM Katowice 2017, and I don’t think it was a fluke. Even though the sportsbooks have the Danish squad in North as favorites, I feel like 2.37 on a win for Immortals is a great opportunity to make some money.
Let’s go Immortals!
Odds: Bet365 2.37
FaZe vs HellRaisers
FaZe reached the final in IEM Katowice 2017, and they have continued to perform well. Niko and c:o are just too stable right now for HellRaisers. It would take a lousy day for FaZe and an incredible day for HellRaisers to FaZe to lose. Despite being heavily favored, the odds are still fairly high, 1.44 on FaZe to win.
Odds: Bet365 1.44
Gambit Gaming vs fnatic
This match is a tough call, Gambit is always performing well on LAN, while fnatic is still figuring out things. They did, however, beat North just recently in a bo5 online match. It could go either way, Bet365 have fnatic as favorites. I’d say this match is a coin flip, but still 2.50 odds on Gambit.
I feel like gambling, so my money is on Gambit.
Odds: Bet365 2.50
